Mark Wooding - parliamentary candidate to represent Central Devon
The Liberal Democrats have chosen local resident, Mark Wooding, as their candidate in the General Election for the Central Devon constituency.
The next General Election must be held at the latest in January 2025. Facing almost certain defeat Mr Sunak may hold on to the last moment. Many think, however, that the election could come as soon as May 2024.
When the election does come, despite having no effective level of local organisation, the Conservatives will pour £ millions from their wealthy, big business masters into the campaign. That will be especailly the case in Central Devon. Cabinet minister Mel Stride is a big supporter of Mr Sunak, and undoubtedly the favour will be returned and £ thousands poured into his campaign.
The challenge for Central Devon Liberal Democrats is how to match that money?
Well we need to raise what money we can so we are asking you to help with a donation.
More importantly we know we can beat the Conservative 'ground campaign'. We have more supporters and activists prepared to leaflet and canvas. But we are asking for even more help. Could you help us with the following?
Anything you can do will help us turf out the Conservatives.
You will be surprised what even 1 hour a month will do to make a difference.
