Baroness Jane Bonham-Carter with Central Devon PPC Sally Morgan

Baroness Jane Bonham-Carter is to become the President of the Central Devon Liberal Democrat Party.

Baroness Bonham-Carter is the great grand-daughter of H. H. Asquith, a former Liberal Prime Minister. Her father was Mark Bonham Carter who was a Liberal MP in Torrington in Devon and she is the cousin of the actress Helena Bonham-Carter. Jane Bonham-Carter was the editor of A Week in Politics for Channel 4 ('93-'96) and Producer of Panorama and Newsnight for the BBC ('88-'93).

Parliamentary Candidate for Central Devon, Cllr Sally Morgan said; " I am delighted that Jane has agreed to be our Local Party President. Her political achievements in her own career are to be admired and respected. She as a fantastic addition to our team I look forward to her joining us here in Devon on the campaign trail!"
